I adore the name Sol, but I think it's a bit too short.
Any ideas on how to lengthen it, or is it good as it is?

Sol in my country (Ecuador) is the nickname for Soledad (Loneliness). It's also a name, like Marisol or Mariasol, or only Sol (the Sun)
