DD: Elizabeth Joan Coleson & DS: Edward John Coleson
Posted Image
Elizabeth is the older twin sister of Edward John. She was born on September 22nd of 1931, a little over a year after her sister Barbara. She and her brothers birth was one of the hardest for the family to handle, having to suddenly feed two more mouths instead of just one. Elizabeth worked hard to attend school and became an Accountant like her father in later life to help support her husband (George) and son (Daniel).

Edward is the younger twin brother of Elizabeth Joan. He was born on September 22nd of 1931, a little over a year after his sister Barbara. He and his sisters birth was one of the hardest for the family to handle, having to suddenly feed two more mouths instead of just one. Edward, like his sister, worked hard to finish school and became a Grocer like his mother. This helped him support his wife (Mary) and daughter (Linda) in later life.

DS: Paul Wayne Coleson

Paul is the fifth child and youngest son of Henry and Evelyn. He was born on May 3rd of 1935, four years after the twins. The break between births helped his parents to raise the other children as best they could. He had little trouble in finishing his schooling and went on to become a well loved teacher in the city. This helped him to live comfortably with his wife (Alice) and his four children (Nancy, Karen, Thomas and Mark) in his later life.

DD: Catherine Louise Coleson

Louise is the sixth and youngest child of Henry and Evelyn. She was born on December 25th of 1938, three years after Alice. She was able to finish her schooling without trouble and even went off to college and became a doctor. She used the money she made as a doctor to help support her parents as well as her husband (Anthony) and her two children (Ronald and Kathleen) in her later life.

The Progressive Era (1880's - 1920's)

(Takes place in 1907)

DH: James Frederic Cairns (43) & DW: Elizabet Cora Cairns (nee Moore). (45)

DS: Samuel Joseph Cairns (27) Born in 1880

DS/DS: Benjamin Paul Cairns and Michael James Cairns (25) Born in 1882

DS/DS/DS: Henry Lee Cairns, Jacob Claude Cairns and Luther Isaac Cairns (21) Born in 1886

DD: Florence Josephine Cairns (17) Born in 1890

DD/DD: Ida Rose Cairns and Eva Hazel Cairns (14) Born in 1893

James Cairns was born July 12th, 1862 and his parents were the neighbors and friends of of the Moore's, the parents of Elizabet who was born on July 12th, 1864. The fact that they shared a birthday was what always made James and Elizabet feel so close as they were growing up. When Elizabet was 15 and James was 17, their parents decided that perhaps they should marry and James agreed, asking Elizabet for her hand in marriage. Soon after they were married in a small church down the road in 1879.

When Elizabet was 16, not even a full year after their marriage, Samuel Joseph Cairns was born on June 9th, 1880. Samuel grew up to become a Banker and eventually married his own childhood sweetheart, Mary-Clara Jones, with whom he had two daughters, Margaret Anne Cairns and Lillian Gladys Cairns. While Samuel was a generally healthy child, though there was a time as an infant that he nearly died of pneumonia.

Two years later, Benjamin Paul Cairns and Michael James Cairns were born on November 27th, 1882. Their arrival had had an element of surprise, though Elizabet had been larger during their pregnancy than with Samuel's, she never thought that it was because she was carrying twins! The twins were also relatively healthy as children though they did often get colds in the winter. Benjamin grew up to become a farmer and married a woman named Sarah Minnie Floyd and had his own twin sons, Arthur Clarence Cairns and Albert Charles Cairns. While Michael became a tailor and married a client named Nora Mae Brookes and had a daughter named Mabel Irene Cairns.

It was fours after the twins birth that Henry Lee Cairns, Jacob Claude Cairns and Luther Isaac Cairns were born on February 19th, 1886. Elizabet had anticipated twins from her size but she once again thought that she was just large, not carrying a third baby!! The triplets were often the talk of the town since there were no other known sets of triplets in the surrounding areas. All three of them opened their own store together and did quite well. Henry married a girl named Laura Tillie Summors and they are expecting their first child. Jacob hasn't married but has been courting a girl of his own named Mary Lucille Maxes. Luther is also married to a woman named Martha Helen Kenney and they have a daughter named Kathryn Marguerite Cairns.

It was a few years later that Elizabet would give birth to their first daughter, Florence Josephine Cairns who was born on May 10th, 1890. No one doubted that this pregnancy would only result in one child, Elizabet was very small during Florence's pregnancy and she was born very small as well. She was sickly as a child but soon grew into a healthy teenager. She is currently engaged to her fiance, Robert Harry Jenkins.

Elizabet's last pregnancy resulted in twins once again and Ida Rose Cairns and Eva Hazel Cairns were born on March 24th, 1893. The twins grew to become pretty young ladies and are currently looking for eligible men to wed and start their own families like their sister and mother. They were very adventurous as children but have calmed down dramatically after beginning their search for husbands.
