Okay, so in my story: the main family is of European descent. I'm not sure exactly what countries they are from, so I came up with a list of names from a variety of counties. I need help deciding which name to choose for my main male character. The last name is Sorensen.

This character is practical, reasonable, and easygoing. He is realistic and looks at things from a wise, responsible point of view.

Here are the options I am considering:
- Lucas - Danish, German, Irish, Dutch; it's a form of Lucius, which means "light" in Latin. I like Lucas because it's not too bizarre and sounds nice with Sorensen.

- Pieter - Pieter is pronounced the same as Peter. It is Dutch, Greek, and Latin. In the Bible, Simon's name is changed to Peter, the leader of the Apostles. I like Pieter because it's a normal name with a slightly European feel.

- Casper - Casper is Persian and German. It means either "treasurer" or "imperial". I like Casper because it's unique and "treasurer" is relevant to his story and personality.

- Rudolf (nn Rudy) - German, meaning "famous wolf" (?!). I like this one because Rudy sounds nice with Sorensen and I think it would be funny to have a character named Rudolf!

Thanks, guys!
