Hey! Its MumToBe2013. My boyfriend and I are expecting our first baby in April of next year. We have lots of names that we like for him/her. Which names are your favorite and/or your least favorites from our list?

Boy names:
Callum - I think this is a very stylish and underused option although it is recently growing in popularity in the US.
Mason - I feel Mason is nice, but a bit dated. Very 80s-90s name to me.
Carter - Nice name, but very overused/popular at the moment. I personally know three little Carter's under the age of 4, and little boys are in short supply among my friends.
Liam - An all around great choice.
Lukas - Prefer the spelling Lucas.
Declan - I'm not a fan of the DECK sound at the begining of this name. It makes me think of someone getting punched in the face.
Elliott - One of my favorites from your list, I also like the idea of using the nickname Lio/Leo.
Ryder - I think this is a nice name, but might not age well. Maybe you could use it in the middle name spot?
Channing - I feel like this name is too strongly associated with the actor.
Nolan - I've personally never been a fan of this name, although I can't really put my finger on why.
Finley - The nickname Finn has been growing on me lately.
Ronan - prefer Rohan/Rowan. I feel Ronan is a bit harsh sounding where as the W sound is more distinct and very stylish.
Jensen - While I'm a fan of the actor Jensen Ackles, I'm not a huge fan of the name. Since both syllables have the EN sound, it is a bit repetative for my taste.
Wyatt- Great all around name, I think this is adorable on a little boy but also very wearable on an adult.

Girl names:
Eliana & Aria - I think both of these names are very feminine and have a pretty sound. They are just a bit too frilly for my taste. However, If that is your style, I don't see anything wrong with either choice. They would actually work really well for siblings.
Lyla - I think this is pretty and feminine without being too frilly. It is a great name that would age nicely.
Payton - I've never been a fan of this name for either gender, however I do think it works better as a girls name.
Kenna - A bit too nickname-y.
Juliette- prefer the spelling Juliet. Like Lyla, I think this is a lovely, feminine choice without being overly frilly.
Danica - This name has a very harsh sound to me.
Mila - Nice name, but not my favorite of your choices.
Summer - Summer is a very dated 80s name to me.
Haven - Not a fan. This name has never really had a pretty sound or feminine quality to me.
Annabel - I think this is a great classic choice, if a bit juvenile. It does give you tons of great nickname options.

For the boys' names I like Finley and Lukas (but I prefer the spelling Lucas)
