Hey guys! I'm working on a story right now, and in order to keep myself from throwing around random names when I needed a classmate for my main characters and ending up with 36 kids in a single Honors English III class, I decided to make a list of each student's first and last name and the name they went by. I thought it'd be fun to share and see what you guys think of the names and whether you think they're realistic for a 10th grade class. Enjoy!

2. Remington Johns (Remi)

3. Callie Dyar

4. Braxton Meyer

5. Jon Delacour

6. Avery Brown

7. Olivia Wells

8. Michael Caldwell

10. Lilliana Guin (Lily)

11. Ahmed Abbas

13. Aisha Kumar

This is interesting to me as I've never really done anything like this, but I think it is fun and different!

 

Any case, my favorites would have to be Callie, Olivia, Michael, Lilliana & Ahmed. These names might be a bit modern for tenth grade, but I have absolutely no idea. My class has an Olivia, a Braxton, and an Avery, which is ironic!

 

Side note: Am I just reading/pronouncing student #1's surname wrong? It seems rather questionable to me... Is that on purpose?

Ooh this is so interesting! I can't say whether I think this is realistic as I'm based in the UK and trends differ slightly. However, I really like Jon Delacour, Liliana Guin and Aisha Kumar.

Yes, it is on purpose. Her surname is a very unique English surname, and it came from a nickname for an idle dreamer.

I though so. I was just making sure you noticed it as well before an audience was seeing it as well. I'm glad that isn't my last name!
