I'm trying to name one of my characters - her middle name will be Annis, her last name McAllen, and she was born in 1885 Scotland. Doesn't have to be traditional/Gaelic - her mother is English.

Her siblings are Violet and Adeline, and I'm looking for something along that speed. (Those two are namesakes, but I'm trying to move away slightly from that.)

Any thoughts? I don't like Elizabeth, Katherine, any variation of Lilly, or any variation of Mary for her.

Any of these any good? I used a lot from historical films and shows set around that time so that's always something to look at too if you're stuck !  :)

Great choice, and you're very welcome hon! I gotta say, I didn't know people said "y'all" in Oregon.
