Hello! I need to know if you think the name 'Oakley' is more masculine or feminine sounding to you personally!

I know it's gender neutral, that's the point, but I'd like to know, if you had to say one or the other, which does it seem to you?

Thank-you!!

Also, any thought you have on the name itself would be appreciated. What opinion do you have on it? What kind of person does it make you think of?

Boy.  It was originally a surname so I feel that it's wrong to use it as a girls' name.

I tend to see Oakley as a feminine name, due to the trend of names such as Hailey, Blakely, Ashley, Bailey, etc. being used for girls.

The fact that it's a surname has me leaning toward masculine at first; however, Annie Oakley causes me to lean feminine (even though it is her surname.) I think overall if I heard it, I would assume someone was talking to a girl.

Oakley sounds feminine, in my opinion, thanks to the -Ley ending. However, it works for both genders! Oak or Oakland would be my choices for a masculine name.
