Saw this baby name in the news today:

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and husband Pete Wentz welcomed a son Thursday night, PEOPLE confirms.

Bronx Mowgli Wentz weighed 7 lbs., 11 oz., and was 20 1/2 inches long.

I'm not a fan at all...& I thought they would of named him something better. :( :( But to each there own & he's a celebrity so he won't be mad fun of like other kids that aren't celebrities. But BMW is cute initials but they could of gone with different first name & middle to get the same initials.

I guess Bronx is tolerable compared to some other celebrity baby names, but MOWGLI?!?!??!

Try to say Bronx Wentz 10 times fast.

Some people just want to draw attention to themselves by giving their children silly names. Bronx is a bad neighborhood in New York, wouldn't want that as my name and Mowgli?? BMW is cliche and not cute at all!

The name i think is best would be

Benjamin Mario Wentz

Oh, i can't stop laughing. I was hoping for something slightly decent from them. Bronx Mowgli is dreadful. I don't find the initials BMW cute at all.

I agree with the pp that Bronx Mowgli is just not a good name. I googled Mowgli b/c I was wondering if it actually had a meaning. According to an article in US, it supposedly meant "frog" but really Rudyard Kipling just made it up.

Also I discovered that there is a syndrome called Mowgli syndrome that can affect children who are severely neglected. Name meanings are really important to me, so that little fact lessened my opinion of Mowgli even more.

As for other names > Bronson Marshall Wentz

Norah Kristen is gorgeous.

Personally, I think there's some sort of competition in the celebrity world - who can come up with the stupidest name.

Mowgli?

You know, I thought Elizabeth was the worst name in the world, but that may have Elizabeth beat out. Who the heck names their kid after a Jungle Book Character?

Someone with a Disney obsession? I think I may have to name this one William Thumper (i love that little rabbit!).

We're in love with Tinkerbell right now, Silvermist would be perfect.

Did you hear that they picked Mowgli because it has meaning due to the fact they both like the jungle book..hmm..well aren't there other names in the jungle book besides Mowgli?!

Not really. Baloo, Bagheera, Shere Khan, Kaa... nope, they all pretty much suck. With those initials, I'd have went with Brennan Michael Wentz.

You know I hate to say it, but I thought Lucy's suggestion of Manhattan Baloo was WAY better than Bronx Mowgli. I'm pretty sure that they did it purely for shock value...and media attention.

Huh. That's interesting.
Our dog poodle's name is Mowgli.
I don't mind it so much on an animal (my kids named him when we got him during their Jungle Book era) but I dont think it looks so great on a child.
BMW... do not find the initials cute at all. =(
