What is everyone's thoughts on Gwen on it's own? I haven't thought much of it until I saw it, and something sparked inside of me.

Too outdated? Too old? I'm not sure yet.

I think Gwen is very cute, and I don't find it too outdated. Last year there were 315 girls named Gwen, and 816 girls named Gwendolyn, so it's still well used nowadays. It feels very familiar, and there are lots of Gwens out there on TV or in music (Gwen Stefani, Gwen Stacy from Spiderman, etc.). I plan on using Gwendoline as a middle name to honour a grandparent, but I like it as a first name as well.

I also love the name Gwen! I think it stands on its own kind of like using Millie or Jack on their own. I also agree with pp that its not too outdated.

I don't think it's too old or outdated at all! If anything, I think Gwen sounds fresh and modern without being trendy. Also, I think it works fine as a standalone name.
