  • Interests:I LOVE reading. I'm into almost every genre and generally read a book a week, if possible. I like Iris Johansen, Karen Marie Moning, Stephen King, James Patterson, Jane Austen, Charlotte Brontë, Diana Gabaldon, Kathy Reichs, and Robert Burns (every Scot's favorite author). I really love music and even got accepted to the Mason Gross School of Performing Arts at Rutgers University (my alma mater) for vocal performance. Unfortunately performance life was not for me, so I went into English Lit and French instead. Music is still a big part of my life, and I like a multitude of musical genres from Reggae to Rock to Opera. I've seen Carmen and La bohème each twice. (And I cry every time.) My husband and I also have a special place in our hearts for The Beatles.

OK, I know I've probably said this before, but I love your naming style!

Henry- On of my all time favorites; We're naming our son Henry Theodore. (by the way, I read the wiki info - what an impressive relation! Definitely someone I'd name my son for. :) ) Henry Caleb, Henry Ryan, Henry Benjamin, Henry Alexander, or Henry Joseph.
Seán - Again, a fabulous name! I love the name Seán Michael or Seán Micheil (the last is the Scottish spelling)
Isaiah - Classic/Traditional name, but a little too Biblical for my taste.
Anthony- Nice
Austin - Nice.
August/Agustin (aw-goh-steen)- I love the family connection to these names!
Grant - Solid & Strong boy name, though I think it would be better as a middle name.
Clayton - I like it a lot! Clayton Ross Lehmer
Ian - Again, one of my favorites! Ian Geoffrey (on our list), Ian Gabriel, or Ian Caleb would all be great options!
Seth - OK, but not my top pick.
Vincent - Classic. Vincent Zachary or Vincent Noah Lehmer
Mark- Great name. I like Mark better than the French spelling Marc. Mark Caleb Lehmer sounds like a strong name!
Noah - Nice. I prefer it as a middle name.
Collin - I only like this spelling of Collin too. Collin Andrew would be a nice way to honor you.
Gavin - I love the name Gavin! Gavin Cole, Gavin Caleb, or Gavin Bennett Lehmer
Caleb - Great name, but I think I like it better as a middle name.
Harrison - OK. Harrison Frederick Lehmer might work well.
Owen - Very nice name! Owen Geoffrey (what can I say, love this name too!) or Owen Patrick
Justin - It's a family name for me, so I'm rather partial to it. Justin is also fun without being too trendy. Justin Charles, Justin Samuel, or Justin Timothy
Brian - Love this name. Brian Andrew has a nice flow (Again I'm biased - it's my hubby's name).
Jacob- I like it a lot. Jacob Gavin or Jacob Agustin
Patrick- Really nice. Patrick Noah, Patrick Andrew, or Patrick Brandon.
Blake - Not really my style, but I prefer this name on a boy over a girl any day.
Isaac - Again, classic but a little too Biblical for my tastes.
Dylan - Not mys style, but Dylan Hunter Lehmer might work well
Kevin - I like this name a lot! Kevin Michael, Kevin Andrew, or Kevin Gregory
Gabriel - Lovely name, though I think it works better as a middle name
Cole - I prefer this as a nickname for Nicholas/Nicolas.

Henry - This is one of my favourite boy names. Your grand grandparents were admirable people, I agree with Cait, definitely worth-honouring. :)
If it turns out to be a boy you could also use Derek. Henry Derek Lehmer would be very handsome and meaningful.

Seán - nice

Isaiah - not my favourite, I don't like the sound of it

Anthony- nice, I like the family connection

Austin - not my favourite, but nice

August/Agustin - I love both names, very strong and handsome and I really like the family connection. Maybe Henry August/Augustin?

Grant - strong and handsome

Clayton- this name has been growing on me, very nice.

Ian - not my favourite

Seth - nice, but not my first pick.

Vincent - great name, very handsome. Henry Vincent would be perfect.

Mark - I love the family connection. Henry Mark would be a perfect way to honour both of your grandparents.

Noah - the same as Seth. It's a nice name, but I think you have better names on your list.

Collin- very nice name and slightly underused. I like Cait's suggestion of Collin Andrew.

Gavin - I don't like it but I don't know why

Caleb - same as Gavin

Harrison - very handsome, It would also be a nice way of honouring Henry

Owen- nice name, strong

Justin - I can only think of Justin Timberlake and I don't like the connection

Brian - nice

Jacob- very strong, I prefer it as a mn

Patrick- really nice and underued.

Blake - not my favourite, but nice

Isaac - same as Isaiah

Dylan - ok, I don't like the fact that it's being used more and more on girls though

Kevin - not my favourite

Gabriel - very very nice, I like it a lot

Cole- nice, but I prefer it as a nn for Nicholas

Ok... let's see. Let's first eliminate the ones i don't like.
Henry- I can only imagine a dorky little boy with this name for some reason.
Agustin- eh... i guess it's just not americanized enough for me
Clayton- nn clay is awful!!!
Justin- an 80's child
Anthony- awful nn of Tony, and it's dated to me
Sean- great name without the accent thingy on the a!
Patrick- nn Pat or Rick is awful!
Kevin- an 80's child
Gabriel- I only like it's nn Gabe
Jacob- Great name, just too common
I only like Marc spelled this way!

Now... you're other names are great, so it's hard to choose!
Cole
Dylan
Isaac
Blake
Brian
Owen
Noah
Collin
Gavin
Caleb
Harrison
Ian
Austin
Grant
Seth
Isaiah

All of these names are wonderful and I think all of them fit a little boy or a grown man. Also, have you ever considered Elijah nn Eli? Maybe it would be your taste? I think it's darling

Henry- One of the best baby names known to man.
Seán- It's soooo cute!!
Isaiah- I'm not really a fan, maybe a middle name?
Anthony- I do like the family ties and adore the name, though I'm slightly bias.
Austin- It's adorable!!
August/Agustin (aw-goh-steen)- I love August, but not so much Agustin.
Grant- I actually really love this name.
Clayton- I don't personally like it.
Ian- It's cute, but not my style
Seth- I do really like it.
Vincent- GRRRRRRREAT name!
Mark- I love the family ties!!! It's really cute.
Noah- I adore Noah.
Collin- I prefer this spelling, and it's a great namee!
Gavin- Not my style.
Caleb- It's cute as middle, but not so much as a first name.
Harrison- Not my style.
Owen- Cute, not great.
Justin- Kinda getting dated. Maybe as a middle?
Brian- Cute.
Jacob- I adore this name.
Patrick- LOVE Patrick, but more as a middle name!
Blake- I adore this name and plan to use it myself.
Isaac- Not my style.
Dylan- Hate it, but only cause it's my dad's name and we don't talk. Plus, too many girls are named Dylan now-a-days
Kevin- It's not really my style.
Gabriel- I love it.
Cole- I like it as a middle name or a nickname mostly.

Hi this is Janessa! Andrew is out forecasting (big rain lately !)

We decide Isaiah, Seth, and Gavin didn't cut it so those are out!

We would love more middle names, Andrew doesn't want to name the baby after himself but he's open to Anderson as the middle name.

Leading the pack is Henry, Clayton, Seán, Collin, Patrick, and Anthony!

Sorry we don't really care for Elijah but it's good name! We think Frederick would be good or Broderick nn Brody in honor of Derrivk, we don't want to use the name Derrick and Derek is a shunned spelling..lol?

Thanks so far.

Henry - AMAZING name with family connection, love it!
Seán - love this name, so handsome!
Anthony- i like this too, love the connection!
Austin - another great name!
August/Agustin (aw-goh-steen)- i like august better, it is quite handsome! love the connection!
Grant - also very ncie!
Clayton- I'm afraid this isn't my style at all, and i don't like the repetitive lay sound with your last name
Ian - also so handsome :)
Vincent - handsome :P
Mark- a great name, and i love the connection! i prefer thi s as a nicknamef or marcus though
Noah - where i am, it's so popular, so it's not my favorite.
Collin- Only Spelling. I LOVE HTIS NAME and this spelling
Caleb - not erally my favorite, i don't love it with your last name, and i like it most as a mn.
Harrison - very handsome!
Owen - also nice
Justin - always have loved this name!
Brian - i realllllly like this name :)
Jacob- i like that it's a family name
Patrick- Patrick is handsome, also darren and darien might work for spins on derrick?
Blake - never been a fan of blake, it sounds like a nickname to me, but i can never think of a longer name for it, so it irks me i guess.
Isaac - i think this name is so handsome!
Dylan - not bad, but it doesn't do anything for me
Kevin - i like this a lot!
Gabriel - i lov ethis name, but with your last name, it sounds like gabrielehmer to me
Cole- i only like this name as a nickname for Nicholas or if need be Colton, but it is cute... i don't like it with your last name though for the same reason as Gabriel - Colehmer.

I think Anderson is a nice middle name, and many of these names would make great combos! here are some fn mn combos i like! I put one with a middle name with a connection, middle name of another from your list, and middle name of my own choice, for all my favorites from your list.

Henry Anderson, Henry Collin, Henry Theodore
Seán Jacob, Seán Vincent, Seán Gregory
Anthony August, Anthony Brian, Anthony Mitchell

August Anderson, August Gabriel, August William
Ian Markus, Ian Henry, Ian Jerome
Vincent Anderson, Vincent Patrick, Vincent Kyle

Seán - I like Sean, how do you say this one with the accent on the a?

It's still pronounced "shawn", but we don't have these accents in English like they do in Gaelic.

Hi! My name is Ashley. Just found out that my husband and I are having a boy!! Let the name wars begin, right? We've narrowed the rather extensive list down to 3 and would really appreciate some objective opinions.

Connor Clarke
Rylan Clarke
Corrin Clarke- favorite but some concern that when not said properly sounds like corn

Thank you very much for any insight you could give us.
