I could ignore this despicable practise if it wasn't so obviously SEXIST. I hate that it's acceptable and even 'cute' to bestow classic masculine names on girls, but the opposite never happens. I'll be fine with people naming their daughters Alexis when they start naming their sons Margaret.

But I understand...I hate it that many boy names are now commonly used for girls and are then considered to "feminine" for boys (i.e Avery) I LOVE Avery for a boy but now most people consider it a girls name
Then again...in the past Anna was used for boys and Christian for girls so I guess names, like fashion and technology, develop with time.

Owen (all boy)
Spencer (B)
Hunter (B)
James (BOY)
Dylan (u)
Carson (g)
Bryce (B)
Jasper (B)
Dallas (g)
Aiden (girl only because the first Aidan I met was a girl)
Jayden (I would never use this name but boy)
Laurence (see Jayden)
Hayden (b)
Austin (g)
Elliot (b)

The only exception is Laurence, which somehow reminds me of Lauren and doesn't sound overly masculine at all.
Maybe Hayden is the only one that could be a little more streched, sound-wise.
But seriously? It might offend someone, but seeing people naming little girls Hunter or Bryce just makes me cringe.
I guess it wouldn't sound so bad in everyday life if a nickname were used [eg. Jasper turned Jazzie or Ellie in place of Elliott], but I can't really see how an adult woman would feel good about writing 'Dallas' or 'Owen' on her college application or something.

I would consider most of the names on your list to be masculine, with the exception of Hayden/Jayden which I would call unisex without a doubt. I'd be hesitant to use any of these on a girl, though I do like one, Elliot. I adore Elliot for a girl (I blame Scrubs ). Though I don't like unisex names, I've been finding that I don't mind blatantly masculine names on girls, such as Elliot and Charlie. Names like that, which sound old fashioned and stuffy on boys, just seem so spunky and fresh on girls. Of course, not all masculine names work this way, but I must say I like the idea of naming my daughter a blatantly masculine name rather than a unisex one.

Evan, Spencer, Hunter, Carson, Dallas, Jayden and Hayden are all used for girls so much here that when I hear or see these names I think it is a girl automatically. Other names that the girls have taken or are working on taking over in my area: Avery (I've only heard this one on girls here), Cameron, Caden, Camden, Dakota, Devin, Emerson, Jordan, Kendall, Landon, Landry, Logan, Micah (I've only heard this one on girls here), Peyton, Quinn (I've only heard this one on girls here), Riley (I've only heard this one on girls here), Reese, Ryan, and Taylor.
Even worse, parents try to make the spellings look more feminine: Karsyn, Jaydin, Kamryn, Kaydin, Kamdyn, Devyn, Emersyn, Kyndall, Landyn, Rylee, Ryleigh, Ryann, Ryanne. Just not my style.

i know of a 20something girl called spencer 'spin' and a 13 yr old jayden (which is really really unusual were im from)
in my opinion these names below are the only ones id use as unisex:
Sam as a nick from samuel or samantha
Jordyn/Jordan- my bro is jordan so its still weird for me to see a girl jordyn
cameron/camryn-i dont perfer but im a big fan of cameron diaz
i do however love Ashton/ Ashtyn i know more ashtyn girls than i do ashton boys
Asher/ Asha i gre up with a girl Asha but i taught gymnastics to a boy Asher, when i first met the boy i couldnt beleve it asher on a boy but i guess its more common than i thought
Casey/Kasey- my cousin is Kasey (g) and i know another casey (g)
Jesse/Jessie
Riley/Rylee
Taylor/ Tayla
these ones above i dont mind i guess as much as say jayden on a girl

I would use them all on a Boy, except for Laurence which I would use on a Girl.
I tend to prefer most unisex names on Boys. [Except Harper, Laurence & Eden]
