So Jeff and I have fallen in love with two names that start with a D which we would love to use but would that mean we would have to use all D names afterward?

We plan on having a big family so we figured if we used two D letter names then we could us two other names that started with the same letter so there wouldnt be an odd one out.

What do you guys think?

I think that'd be fine :) Its okay to have kids with two of the same letter first name and even one odd ou. Its an entirely personal decision. I dislike it only because in my mind I like there to be a strict balance to my names... basically its all in my head ;) Some people better like the flow, some people just prefer it. But its not as if the child would be teased or feel left out just because of a name. I know plenty of children I went to school with who has siblings with patterns and not them, or they were a part of a pattern and not a sibling. Most kids couldn't care less... though I suppose they'd be wondering what you were thinking if you had kids Ash, Aspen, Azalea... and then Molly. Heck, kids don't notice themes until either someone tells them its there or they're old enough to not care too much. Or at least thats my experience with children. A few friends dont have middle names, yet their siblings do. Thats my most common one haha <3

Anyways, they're your kiddo's, and you should name them how you'd like :)

I wouldn't worry about it. My fiance has three cousins, all girls, and the oldest is Lauren Keeley then the twins are Lensey Kareen and Lesley Brooke. They all start with L- but only one twin and the oldest have K- middle names and Lesley doesn't care. So I think your alright.

I think it's fine unless you name like 4 of your kids D names and then one of them a different letter.
My older half sisters both start with N (Nikki & Nadine) and I obviously start with an S. It used to bother me a bit, but now it doesn't. Especially because we don't have the same mom.

well we love two D names, two E names and two F names so we figured since we want at least 4 kids with a maximum of 6, if we do go with the double D names then we could have double E and double F names. Jeff doesnt care too much since he grew up with all J siblings but I would rather they had all diffrent letters but i agree with you remy its all in my head. :) I appreciate the insight so I feel less odd about wanting two kids with the same letter, but again its all in my head.
