My wife and I are having trouble choosing a baby name. The 2 choices are:
1. Paxton Daniel Weaver
2. Preston Daniel Weaver

Paxton seems to be a stronger, more masculine name with a definite uniqueness. Preston is a cuter boys name, but is softer and seems a little "prissy" (but we still like it as well). When you hear these names, what impressions do you have? What are the types of people that come to mind?

Thank you for your thoughts.

Although I prefer Paxton to Preston, I think that Preston Daniel flows a lot better as the beginnings of both Paxton and Daniel have the same sound.

As for the types of people that come to mind; Paxton seems to me to be a much more relaxed type of person, kind of like a surfer/skater stereotype, whereas Preston hits me as being very serious about studying. (I'm thinking teen years here).

I have a tip for you: Flip a coin (decide which name is heads/tails) to decide. When it's in the air you'll both know which one you're hoping it lands on, and that should help you, unless you're both hoping for different names. In which case, I'd say wait until he's born and decide which he looks like most.

I hope this helped, and good luck with your new baby!
