Mariah & Nick announced that their twins names are

Monroe (no middle name) and Moroccan Scott

They where born on April 30th which is the couples wedding anniversary.

What do you think of the names? I love Monroe but Moroccan not so much.

Um. Moroccan Cannon?! Yeah I don't think that sounds good at all.

I DO like Monroe though.

I agree Moroccan Cannon has a little bit too much of the Can sound in there :)

His name reminds me of the Cancan... Monroe is not really my style, but it isn't awful. I read some where that she calls them Roc and Roe, which is kinda cute

I don't really like either. Monroe is tolerable.

Moroccan? For real? Seriously? Wow.

I'm curious to know what inspired these names.... hmmmm...

I love the name Monroe! So flirty and fun, and kind of a "rocker" appeal to me. I wish they would have paired it with a great middle name!

Morrocan... interesting.... Although, it's not the worst celebrity baby name I've heard!

According to ABC news...

"Monroe was named after Marilyn Monroe, one of Carey's inspirations. Moroccan was derivied from the top floor of Carey's New York City apartment, which features Moroccan-inspired decor and was the site of Cannon's marriage proposal."

I'm with everyone else...Monroe is ok, but Morroccan is not cool :S

But I guess they are acceptable for children of a celebrity?

Monroe is ok... I would never consider it for my child, but it's ok. Moroccan is just... wow. Poor kid.

But since they're celebrities, it's probably alright. I still hate the names Shiloh, Suri and Knox, anyway. :(

I don't much care for either names. I hear Monroe and I think of my friends last name... and Moroccan? Sounds like some African music instrument. lol.

You mean a "maraca" and it's a traditional instrument in Latin American countries. Moroccan is the term used for the culture and native people of Morocco.

I think Monroe is cute.

Monroe is cool, not really my style but it's unique. Moroccan I don't like at all, especially not paired with Cannon. Way too much of a "description name". Roc and Roe is kind of cute.

I'll admit, I do love Monroe. It's just a guilty pleasure though.
However, Morrocan is TOTALLY not my style. If they wanted to call him Roc, why not call him Rocco or something?
Morrocan isn't a name, sorry.

[No offence intended to any one who does indeed like the name]
