Kaylee from TX:

Look into the future: is baby girl name Kacey too close to Mama's name Kaylee? Will family adapt and understand distinction?

For sisters, Kacey and Kaylee would absolutely be too close. For a mother and daughter? It's fine. They will likely assume she is named after you (and in a sense, she will be!), but this kind of naming where parent and firstborn child have similar names is common and many people will find it cute. They may mix up your names occasionally, but in fairness, who hasn't had to run through a list of everyone in the household before landing on the name of the person you meant to call for?

Agree 100%.

Exactly this.  It's fine as long as you understand that you are naming your daughter after yourself - I love these sorts of nods to another's name, so I'm all for it!  You could even spell it Kaycee to match spelling if you want.  That might be the most difficult part for your family, honestly; I can imagine an aunt or something remembering how to spell your name and thinking that Kacey probably matches!
