Tree Names vs Place Names

But really all we found that could be used for names are Ash, Hawthorn, Linden, Birch, Cypress, Rowan, Willow, Olive, Alder, and Cedar. That's not much.
Another one we thought could work was making a tradition of place names for boys. There have got to be tons of those, right? Though right now I can't think of all that many!
So what do you think? Would you go with trees or place names? And if you have suggestions for either, that would be great!

I personally would go with place names. I think you can find more "normal" names using thoughs. A boy named Willow or Birch? I just can't see it....
