hi all!

i need help on deciding on a mn for Hylia (girl's name) - i've had this name stuck in my head for a while now lol

-> I'm not budging on the spelling of Hylia :)

->mn that doesn't start with D, I or A please (i kinda want to steer clear of words being spelled from the initials. eg: Hylia Denise (HD), Hylia Ingrid (HI), Hylia Alice (HA)... u can tell where i'm coming from :) )

thanks in advance,

~firebird

ps. prounciation of Hylia is Hill-ee-ya  (and no, i'm not budging on this either lol ;))

Oh... Upon seeing Hylia, I would most definitely think high-lee-ah, just so you know. So pronunciation is likely to be messed up a lot  Not sure if that bothers you or not <3 I do think the spelling does look pretty, but moreso for saying it high-lee-ah lol. Hilia would look silly... but the y just makes a definitely long I sound... like eye. Thats how all y's sound, if I'm not mistaken lol. [I hope absolutely none of this comes off as offensive! Just stating personal opinion :) ].

But, middle names for Hylia, with no D's, A's, or I's...

Hylia Marianne
Hylia Tabitha
Hylia Natalie
Hylia Camryn
Hylia Willow
Hylia Veronica
Hylia Georgia
Hylia Josephine
Hylia Leanne
Hylia Faye
Hylia Rory
Hylia Jade
Hylia Tamara
Hylia Roseanne
Hylia Kiley
Hylia Beatrice
Hylia Grace
Hylia Maria
Hylia Charlotte
Hylia Forsynthia
Hylia Marigold
Hylia Fern
Hylia Emilia

I wasn't sure what types of names you like.. so there's some variety... what do you think? <3

i know what u mean by the long "i" sound that y makes in hylia (i used to pronounce it that way as well) - it doesn't really bother me too much correcting the pronounciation (tho that may not necessarily be the case in the future LOL) :)

i never thought of putting Veronica, Grace, Jade or Charlotte with Hylia :) (they do flow nicely :o)

- thanks for the heads up on pronounciation issues btw :)

ps (everone else): still open to mn suggestions ^^

Does Hylia have a meaning in general or/and to you? (Like a name of a very important person in your life?) Just asking because it is a very unique name, beautiful and simple (I love that ybout names :) ), despite correcting the pronouncation!

Okay, middle name suggestions: maybe you should go with a classic middle name since Hylia is that unique

Hylia Vivienne
Hylia Madeleine
Hylia Corinne
Hylia Corinna
Hylia Caitlin
Hylia Catherine
Hylia Philippa
Hylia Georgia
Hylia Savannah
Hylia Pauline
Hylia Isabelle
Hylia Fabienne
Hylia Adelaide ... I think that is my favorite.

To bad that Cordelia or Cecilia don't work , it would be way to rhymey!
How about the spelling Helia? It would be similar to Celia and Delia though. But it kinda looks like 'hell', so maybe not.
