I am writing a story about identical twin boys. The story goes through their life, from the age of 2 on. It shows how their parents separation, then divorce, affects them. Then it shows their lives with just them and their Mother. A move, new house, new school, and new friends. It then shows the affects of their Mother dating. That is as far as I’ve gotten so far.
I like the name Parker for one twin, his name has never changed. The other twin’s name has changed a lot: Jordan, Riley, Avery, Devon, and Kieran. I’ve narrowed it to: Jordan and Riley, which are the two used most. But I can not decide between the two.
If I use Jordan, he’ll be younger. If I use Riley, he’ll be older.
Both boys have shaggy blonde hair and blue eyes. They skateboard, play soccer and football, watch TV, and play video games.
Thanks.

I think Jordan is better because Jordan is used still more commonly for boys nowadays (at least for white families, for black children the name is actually more common for girls). Riley is a name that, while decidedly very traditionally male, is now uber-popular for girls. It's actually #38 for girls at the moment, so yes, I think using it for a boy might cause some confusion.
