I tried my best to give reasons for the names in the "Lose" part. Hopefully I did okay.
Love:
Clara
June
Henrietta "Etta"
Hazel
Beatrice
Ada
Robin
Ciaran
Like:
Claire
Cassia - like if it's Cass-ee-uh, love if it's Cash-uh
Maeve
Zoe - I prefer the spelling Zoey, but it doesn't really make much of a difference.
Elise
Vivienne - I like the spelling Vivian better. Vivienne just seems unnecessary to me.
Ophelia "Phelie" - Ophelia is pretty, not a fan of Phelie.
Odessa "Essie" - again, I like Odessa, Essie's not great.
Juniper "June"
Alice
Maya
Eleanor "Ellie" - I love Ellie, but Eleanor's not my favorite.
Annabelle - for some reason reminds me of cows? But it's still pretty.
Lily - I love this in the middle spot.
Guinevere "Gwen" - don't really like Gwen, but Guinevere is very pretty and regal.
Lucy
Amalia
Bridget - I love the nn Birdie
Theodora "Thea"
Josephine "Jo" - I prefer the nn Josie, but my love of Little Women makes me like Jo as well.
Carter
Henry
Elliot
Lucas
Luke
Jason "Jase" - I really like Jason, but actively despise Jase. Jay is much better, in my opinion.
Gideon
Jack
William "Will" - I like Will much better than Liam.
Atticus
Oliver
Abraham "Bram" - I don't like Abraham, but I do like Bram. Abram is much more wearable.
Gray
Theodore "Theo" - I like the nn Teddy/Ted better. No one else does though, so I should probably stop suggesting it.
Jude
Joshua
Brett - this is my brother's name, (he's named after George Brett) so I can't very well put it in the lose section.
Connor
Seth
Gavin
Caleb
Reid
Keaton - the subtle Legend of Zelda reference (which is obviously not intended, but still. My love for Zelda obligates me to mention it,) is my favorite thing about this.
Mitchell (because Modern Family)
Vincent
Morgan - I knew an obnoxious, smug. brat of a girl named Morgan in high school. But on a boy it's handsome.
Lose:
Annaliese - I just don't really like long Ann- names. Also I knew a girl named Annaliese and she wasn't my favorite.
Evangeline - I don't really have a reason for this one. It just doesn't sound pretty to me. I live Eva much better.
Evelina - I don't like the ending -lina.
Odette/Odetta "Etta" - I do like Etta. Even though Odette is a Barbie princess (Swan Lake, I think?) it just sounds old to me, and not in a good way.
Kayla - This is also a Barbie name (one of Barbie's various friends. I liked Barbie things as a kid...) and is the name of my sister's annoying friend. It's underwhelming.
Laurel - I don't have a real reason not to like this one. I just don't. I do like Laura and Laurence.
Mercy - I had an awful teacher named Mercedes nn Mercy in 2nd grade. She's all I think of when I hear this.
Abigail - I've heard it too much for it to really be anything more than okay-ish.
Amity - A girl I went to school with was named Amity. She did not embody the meaning of her name.
Adalia - I just don't feel like I can pronounce this right.
Elle - It doesn't feel substantial enough to stand on its own, even though I'm sure there are lots of little Elles around.
Johanna "Jo" - It just sounds ugly to me.
Laelia - It sounds made-up, although I'm pretty sure it's got some ancient Roman roots. It sounds like someone tried to make Layla more unique.
Matthias - The pronunciation is just awkward. It doesn't role off the tongue. I like Matthew better.
Thomas - It's not terrible, just boring.
Timothy - I don't know why, I just really dislike this name.
Eben - I don't like it. It seems like a weird form of Evan, which I also don't like.
Gale - I just don't like the strong Hunger Games association. It's like naming a girl Katniss or Rue.
Caspar "Cas" - I can't shake the afterthought, "the friendly ghost."
Rudy - makes me sad (because of The Book Thief) and also happy, because it reminds me of Rudolph and I love Christmas.
Jeremiah - I don't like any of this type of name; Isaiah, Elijah, Josiah, Zachariah. Too biblical.
Logan - this is the name of a smelly midwestern teenager. Also known as half the guys that went to my high school.
Amias - I don't like long I's in names. I much prefer Amos.
Callen - Seems made-up and trendy. Also could be Gaelic, but still trendy.
Elias - I've never been sure how to pronounce this. el-EYE-us or EL-ee-us? Either way, I'm not a fan, but I like EL-ee-us a little better.
Jonah - I guess I'm just not a fan of biblical names.
Chase - I don't like "ase" names. They sound obnoxious to me.
Hayden - the other half of the guys that went to my high school.
Hugo - My sister and I had a joke about a made-up Hugo, so it just seems like a silly name to me.
Finn - the overwhelming amount of Finns have turned me off completely to this name. Although I do have a guilty crush on Finola nn Fin for girls. I'd never use it though.
Warren - For some reason makes me think serial killer?
Peter - some of my siblings and I invented a game called Peter Pumpkin when we were kids, so I can't take this seriously.
Elowen - It sounds like a female elf from Lord of the Rings. A combination of Eowyn and Arwen? I kind of like it for a girl.
Ezra - I just don't like it. And the character in PLL is the absolute worst.
Elan - I guess I just don't like -lan names.
