Really? My husband and I are thinking of using one of those in either as a middle name or possibly a first. Right now we are hung up on the names Henry & Penelope.

Briar Rose is a gorgeous name! Love it!
Padrig Owen, I went to college with a guy named Padrig and always thought he had the coolest name ever!

I'm just basically in love with your names. Penelope and Henry are GORGEOUS  Penelope Isolde and Henry Keats would make lovely combos if that's what you'd be going for. They'd sound lovely with Hayes Montgomery as well.

I have a thing for Irish names, especially on boys, and since I'm half Irish I think my choices could potentially work very well on future children. I am still a bit on the fence about Padrig though - like you said, it's a cool name, but I don't know if everyone would think that

Ahh, thank you! It took me a while to find Hayes's name even thought I sort of already planned it. Henry is just an all time favorite and Penelope was suggested from a variation of Penny Lane. We are thinking of using Isolde or Isla now...ha! If we do we have a boy his name will most likely be Henry but then again Keats is sounding very promising in either used as a middle or first name.

Padrig is one of those names I will probably use on a dog so I can at least use it in some form and not keep it in my head.

I have and always will LOVE the name Prynn Aphrodite but will never name my child that.
I also have this thing for 'nature' names so for a boy I would go with Leif Freyr(Frey). I think it's cute as can be!

I LOVE the name Prynn. As you can see in my signature below, it is one of my top girls names. I came up with it after reading a historical fiction book set in England during the reign of King George III. His eldest son (King George IV) was nicknamed "Prinny" and although I wasn't a huge fan of the character, I fell in love with the name...but for a girl. :) It took me a while to decide which spelling I liked but Prynn won out. My current combination is Prynn Cordelia but I've also considered Prynn Alexandra & Prynn Eloise.

I've never known anyone else to like this name before :D

What is your guilty-pleasure names? Would you ever use them on your own children? Would you advise friends and family to use it?

Mine would have to be....

Keats & Atticus

and then for a girl:

Isolde & Athena

I would have used Keats and Isolde if they sounded well with Hayes. To me they bring out that old charm but with that modern lust. I would advise my sister, who is currently pregnant, to use Atticus since she is a huge fan of To Kill a Mocking Bird and the fact she has a kooky naming style; She named her daughter Delphinium Monet.

What is yours? :)

Just wanted to let you know that I combined your topic with other GPs topics. Just trying to keep things simple and together.

No problem on the converging of topics! Prynn is actually my made up version of Primrose, obviously from the Hunger Games. I thought Primrose was something a little fictional for reality, ya know? I have to agree with you that I personally never knew anyone else who considered the name Prynn! Love it thought, basically Brynn with a P.
