So, I'm working on changing up My List! :) The Our List is doing pretty well, and I seem to have neglected my own personal name list, focusing too much on what we like rather than just my personal favorites.

Well, i do need some help on Our List. It would be absolutely fabulous if you ladies could suggest names to match Roman Connor. Mike absolutely adores it and I am head over heels for it, so I'd like to find more similar names to match! I just dont feel my Liam matching so well with the strong and manly Roman Connor. Help please?

Back to My List... I love vintage names. And I want to focus on some, along with classics and maybe some Irish/Gaelic :) here are some names I'm currenly thinking of...
Harriet nn Hattie
Edith nn Edie
Elsie
Eliza
Ivy
Niamh (Neve)
Skye
Evie
Charlotte
Amelia
Lorelei
Dolores
Faye
Saoirse
Siobhan
Hamish
Wilson
Willard
Franklin
Theodore
Jay (Jacob // Jason // Jace?)

Im loving Harriet! I can almost imagine using it, though I also imagine Mike instantly veto-ing it :/ he's not a fan of my 'old lady names' unfortunately. But its okay, I'll enjoy it being on My List! Middle name idea's?

I like how Elsie is a family name for me. Same as Charlotte. For Lorelei... I dislike the spelling a lot :( it just looks very strange to me. I cant think of a more proper spelling though. Laurelie, Lauralie, Loralie, Lauralee, etc? Urgg. I kinda like the first, but its still not.. Perfect I suppose. Idk.

Im also adoring Hamish! It almost make me think of Haymitch from Hunger Games, except Hamish is more legitimate I think. Old fashioned beauty! <3 i dont know anyone else who agree's with me, but I'll love Hamish on my own I suppose. I'd love first or middle name suggestions.

Wilson is a little more likely for me to use, but Willard is an interesting choice I think. Wdyt?

Im on the fence with Franklin. I watched a movie with a real hot guy named Franklin a while back so its my initial association, but I know others will think either presedential or the turtle in childrens storybooks. I also WILL NOT call him Frank. Potentially Frankie while he's small I suppose. I like how in that movie the characters called him FDR, after the presedent. Which I think is cool as well, but idk. Thoughts?

Thanks heaps!!!! :)

Roman Connor- For a girl I really like Athena Corrine, I think its matches well but for a boy perhaps Lucius/Lucien Colin, Julius/Julian Matthias, Vincent Marcus, Gideon Scott, Thaddeus Vaughn or Ezra Lochlan?

Harriet- 7/10 Really cute and would grow very well
Edith- 5/10 A bit dated to me, it doesn't have the same feel that Harriet does for me
Elsie- 5/10 It would be cute as a NN
Eliza- 6/10 Cute but I've always seen it as more of a NN for Elizabeth
Ivy- 9/10 Short but I've always loved it!
Niamh- 9/10 One of my favorite names, even though for a little while I wasn't sure how to pronounce it! :P
Skye- 6/10 Its nice, but has never had that spark for me
Evie- 6/10 Seems more like a NN for Eve, Evelyn or Eva but not bad
Charlotte- 9/10 I adore this name!
Amelia- 8/10 Classic but not dated, cute to
Lorelei- 9/10 Love this name, especially the spelling Loreley
Dolores- 5/10 A bit dated for me but would be a cute MN
Faye- 6/10 A nice name, though just a little bit dated
Saoirse- 7/10 A nice name, I love Irish/Gaelic names
Siobhan- 7/10 A nice name, I love Irish/Gaelic names
Hamish- 4/10 Not my style but not awful
Wilson- 4/10 Makes me think of the Surname
Willard- 7/10 Old but not awful, I have connections with it so I like it
Franklin- 5/10 Not a favorite but very handsome
Theodore- Love Theodore with the NN Theo!
Jay (Jacob,Jason,Jace) Jay its self always made me think of just the letter but it would be a cute NN for Jacob/Jacoby and Jason. Jace could be NN for Jason

Harriet Anna, Harriet Jane, Harriet Kathryn, Harriet Susanna, Harriet Marie, Harriet Danielle, Harriet Dawn, Harriet Brooke.

Elsie would be cute NN for something like Elsa and I adore Charlotte, I've seen Lorelei spelled as Loreley which is the original Germanic spelling and is my personal favorite.

Hamish always makes me think of Hash (the food) for some reason, so for me is a no. :P

Wilson has always made me think of the surname, but my great-grandfather was named Willard Ellsworth Beall so it has a very hold but handsome connection for me.

Its nice, it could be handsome but I always think back to Benjamin Franklin when I hear it. ;)

Names to go with Roman Connor: Simon, Felix, Evan, Neil, Nolan, Patrick, Niall, Kieran, Julian, Blaine, Jack, Henry, Luke, Archer
Camilla, Caitlin, Abigail, Lucia, Lucy, Ella, Evelyn, Fiona, Elsa, Cecilia, Audrey, Maisie, Blaire, Leah, Colleen, Viola, Chloe, Daisy

Harriet nn Hattie - Love this name! So sweet. <3
Edith nn Edie - Edith isn't my favorite, but I love Edie.
Elsie - Cute! I like it as a nickname for Elsa.
Eliza - Lovely!
Ivy - Very pretty.
Niamh (Neve) - Pretty, though probably mispronounced / misspelled often.
Skye - Not my favorite, but it's all right.
Evie - Cute! Love Eva / Evelyn too.
Charlotte - Pretty.
Amelia - Pretty.
Lorelei - Very pretty... I like this spelling. Of the other ones you listed, I like Loralie best. Or maybe Lauralie. ^_^
Dolores - Not my style, but it's okay.
Faye - Never been a fan of this name for some reason.
Saoirse - I like it as a middle name.
Siobhan - Same as before.
Hamish - Not my favorite. I much prefer Hamilton!
Wilson - Cute!
Willard - I think Wilson is more useable. Willard could make a cute middle name.
Franklin - I like this name! If you're unsure, you could use it as a middle name. I have it as a middle for Theodore.
Theodore - Love it!
Jay (Jacob // Jason // Jace?) - I like Jason best. So handsome! Jacob is a tad overused. Jace seems like a nickname in itself, so I wouldn't use another nickname like Jay for it.

Love your new names!

I'm pretty much loving all of the names on this list :) I'll have to comment on each when I have some more time.

The only one that really stands out as not fitting in is Sky but you could always pair it as a first or middle name with some of your other options to help modernize a more 'olde fashioned' option. Maybe Sky Harriet or Edith Sky.

Thanks so much ladies!!!

I'm not a fan of Athena Corrine per say, but I totally agree that it matches well with Connor<3 I love Lucius/Lucien Colin, Matthias, Gideon, and Lochlan! I really love Lucian though, darn handsome! Though maybe I might want Lucius, so both Roman and sibling don't have names ending in N? It'd start a trend I'd have to continue I'd think. But I adore it either way! <3 I also like: Simon, Jack, Henry, Archer, Lucy, Ella, Elsa, Audrey, Maisie, and Viola.

I like Harriet Jane and Harriet Katherine!

Elsa is nice as well, I didn't even think of it<3 Elsa/Elsie.

Eva / Eve / Evelyn are all lovely options as well. I almost like Eveline as well, or Evelyne [the french way, ehv-leen]. I actually used Evelyne as my name for french class and grew pretty fond of it. I tend to like Evie on its own, or Evey, or Evy, after a movie I saw where the main character was Evey<3 I don't think I'd ever use just plain Eve for personal reasons, or Evelyn cause its too work-like for me, but Eva, Eveline, Evelyne, etc are all so lovely!

Lorelei I probably will never use in real life for spelling reasons :( I don't want to get a confusing spelling that the child will have to fix for everyone <3 I know Mike loves Laura, so he'd probably like Lorelei as well. I think Loreley is pretty nice, a little less awkward, I suppose? I don't really love any of my spellings.. I think what mainly bothers me is the fact that I adore Laura looking like this but greatly dislike Lora looking like this. I get an entirely different feel for it. I just dislike how the L and O look together I think. L and A look nice together though. Even Laurelei or Laralei would be better to me. But I don't love them, soo... yeah. Guess I'll have to keep plain Laura on the list? Or would Lauralie or Loralei be acceptable?

I don't think I'd use Theo as the nick name for Theodore, actually :) I don't like how Theo comes off the tongue in itself. Like, when I saw Theodore the first o sounds more A like and I like it, but in Theo alone the O is enunciated. I am hoping to use a J middle name actually, so I can use TJ when a nick name feels necessary. I'd be fine with using Theodore 24/7, but I know many kids do seem to get nick names so I'll enjoy TJ on occasion as well.

I think Franklin would make a good middle name! Good idea!

And for Jay... yeah, I prefer the longer versions. Maybe even Jace as a middle name... Theodore Jace? Jacob does sound too trendy, its way to popular for me to ever truly use. And Jason is nice, but I don't ADORE it.

And I just noticed that Katie :L Skye really doesn't fit in with my other names.. another GP. Definitely middle name material I think :)

Thank you so much ladies!!! You all helped bunches!!

Hamish is sort of like Hash [like hash browns] I suppose haha. I do notice the ham in it as well :P

Wilson is definitely pretty surnamey, which seems to be in style lately actually. Willard is real nice, he's got a handsome name!! <3 I'm not sure if I prefer Willard or Wilson though. I imagine myself actually using Wilson, but Willard is real handsome<3

Hmm, I do feel like it'd take a particular sort of boy to pull off Franklin nicely. It'll probably remain a guilty pleasure anyways<3

On the Franklin, one of Martin's brother is a Franklin but goes by Frank/Frankie. He's definitely not Franklin, he's too goofy for it. Although Frank doesn't seem like a goofy person's name.

Its funny, cause I imagine Franklin to be more fun and goofy with a serious understone to it I'd think. I can see how people imagine it to be serious, but I picture it less seriously<3

I have to agree with this. I think Frank / Franklin may sound serious or "presidential", but Frankie lightens it up, in my opinion.
