Jona from Cohen:

Venerable Genie, I'm a 26 year old guy and have been thinking of names for if I ever get a child (not sure if I even want one!). Anytime I think of a name that I like I write it down. So far I probably have over 50 names. Yet, without my trying, every single one of the names is a girl name. Why? What does this mean? And nearly all the names end with an 'a'. (Best names so far are Raisa and Lora) I seek your council, O Wise One.

I like girl names much better too. Girl names flow in and out of fashion faster, so their a greater variety. For instance, you wouldn't bat an eye at a Matthew born today. But a Jessica? A little strange. Yet they're both the in the top three for 1988. So in short, girl names just fluctuate faster and therefore lots of people who don't get overwhelmed by choice love them!

You may just be more picky with boys' names! Hahaha. I'm the opposite. I find boys' names I like far easier than girls' names.

Maybe you think you're going to have daughters only? Haha, but that's just my guess.  :D
