I think it is difficult to draw a hard and fast line. To me, I like 2 middle names but would never ever go more than that. But in some cultures more than that is totally normal, so I don't see why an American couldn't do it too. I would definitely raise an eyebrow if someone had more than 3 middle names. But you do you. Lol.

I think I would max out at 3. I probably would only do 3 if I intend on calling the child by the first name and the first middle name. For example, something like Ana Sofia Gabriela Lucia LN. I'd call her Ana Sofia. I'd be open to two middle names, but I've never understood the point of more than one middle name. Where I am from (USA) middle names are rarely used. I only ever hear my middle name being called with my full name when I'm in trouble. So if someone did have more than one middle name, I don't really understand the point of it since where I'm from middle names are usually only used when the child is in trouble with the parents.

I don't intend on going beyond 2, but it's really just style preference. I would draw the line at 3, though, and I actually just wrote an article about this very topic a couple weeks ago!
