My husband is 100% dead set on naming our baby boy after his father (James [Walter]) and his grandfather (Ralph [Andrew]). Im not a fan, but it means so much to him. He suggested Ralph James, which I immediately vetoed, which then brought James Ralph into the mix. I dont think it flows with our last name at all, but again, hes so set on it. So what do you think James Ralph Meyer (?) or any other suggestions I could possibly bring to the table?

I don’t really like the flow of 2 one syllable names back to back, sorry. Plus, Ralph reminds me of vomiting since some people call it ralphing, so definitely not as a first name for me, again sorry. Not trying to be mean. Would he be opposed to using the middle names? Maybe try:

James Andrew

Andrew James

Andrew Walter

Walter Andrew
Walter Ralph

Hope this helps :)

I think Andrew James sounds the best. Could he pick one family name and save another for any other future children. My 2 children who were named after family have first names we liked and then middle names from family.

Maybe tweak it to Jameson Raphael? Or perhaps Jacob Ralph? (James is derived from Jacob).

Jameson Ralph Meyer gets my vote! Cute and spunky, while giving him his own identity. Best of luck!!
