Would you name your daughter Tennille?

I'm really liking the name, even though I'm a child of the 80's so wasn't around for the Captain and Tennille music.

I'm not worried about other people not being able to spell it, because our daughter's name isn't one you hear, and can be tricky to spell correctly.

Thanks!

I'm not sure how to pronounce it exactly...if I had to guess I'd say "Ten - ill" --- is that right?

I don't dislike the name but if I were you I might think about changing the spelling - only because it doesn't make much phonetic sense in English.

I think its fine, you could always play around with the spelling until it makes the most sense phonetically.

Any suggestions on different spellings?

One of the reasons I like it, is that it's 8 letters, and I have a thing with numbers. lol I like boys names to have 6 letters and girls names to have 8 letters. I know, I'm weird. lol

I like Tennille. Don't change the spelling. Tennille is the most common spelling and changing it will only make life more difficult when the girl grows up (correcting people, etc.)

I hadn't planned on changing the spelling at first, because it's how it's spelled for the 70's singing duo Captain and Tennille, so I figured if people recognize the name from the duo, they might recognize that spelling more than another? I don't know though.

Though I've heard of the duo, I don't think I would have remembered how it was spelled. Though most people might be able to recognize it if they saw it.
