Mike and I were rambling names and Mabel Emerson came up and he likes it!! I haven't gotten a 100% yes we can use Mabel some day, but he did say its been growing on him :) He works with a lady named Mabel and I guess it makes it feel more usable to him. Whatever the reason, I'm on board with it ;)

I had suggested Mabel Emily because he loves Emily, and he liked it generally, but he seemed to really like Mabel Emerson, and I really do too! I've also been suggested Mabel Emery, which I do like. But yeah. <3

Opinions? :) If you dislike Mabel Emerson, any suggestions? Doesn't have to be an "em" name, it just so happens those have passed through our minds hehe.

Thanks! <3

Mabel is adorable! And I love it with Emerson. Mabel could be a girly girl or a tomboy with the added help of Emerson.

Honestly not a huge fan of Emerson, however I think the overall combination does sound nice. I <3 Mabel, so any way to get Mike on board gets a thumbs up from me :D

I like the sound of the name, and Mabel is very cute! Not a fan of Emerson, though. It's a boy's name in my eyes. I like Mabel Marie, Mabel Johanna, or Mabel Rosamond.

Thank you all!! :)

Its funny, normally Emerson would be a boys name to me. I prefer -son names on boys 100%. But theres something about Emerson that kinda appeals to me <3

And I like how much personality Mabel Emerson could have - tomboy or girly :)

I do love the suggestions of Mabel Joanna and Mabel Rosamund though!! I love Rosalind slightly better than Rosamund in general though.. Maybe Mabel Rosalind? I know Mike wouldn't like them, he's mentioned them not being his style. But its a definite for my personal list <3

LOVE Mabel. I've always loved the old charm it had to it. I have to admit that I, as well as some, am not a huge fan of Emerson. I know in the movie 'What to Expect When Expecting' one of the couples(Cameron Diaz & the guy from Glee) used Emerson for their daughter. I can see the appeal but I think a more feminine classic name will round off the sound of Mabel perfectly!

Mabel Victoria
Mabel Rose
Mabel Juliette/Juliet
Mabel Seraphine
Mabel Claire
Mabel Eloise

Hope I helped! :)

I love the old charm to Mabel as well  I started liking Emerson before that movie, but the movie definitely made me like it slightly more. I know normally I would pair it with an equally old fashioned named like Mabel Harriet or something, but Mike makes this face -> <_< at me when I suggest them. -_- I do love Mabel Victoria though! I bet Mike might possibly like it <3 And he probably would like Mabel Rose, though I feel as if Rose is too "filler" in the middle. Mabel Eloise is so pretty, but the same on "too much old lady names" unfortunately </3 I do adore it though <3 I loooove Seraphine, but Mike relates it to Aquafina the water brand.. the weirdo he is lol  Claire isn't my style <3

Thanks sooo much Emily! Your suggestions really did help! <3 I'm going to ask Mike about Mabel Victoria <3 <3

I like Emerson, but I'm unsure about it paired with Mabel. When I see a boy Emerson, I think of it as old-fashioned. For a girl, to me at least, it's more modern and fun.

Mabel, although sweet, is not my personal style. But it fits in with all of the vintage names that are becoming more and more popular.

Mabel and Emerson are very different stylistically and I'm just not sure how well they go together.

That's why I liked your combo "Mabel Emily". I thought it looked and sounded darling!

Mabel Victoria is GORGEOUS, also.

I do love Mabel Victoria  so precious!! The styles are definitely very different with Mabel and Emerson, lately I have been pairing up very modern names with very old fashioned names.. not sure why I happen to like them so much lately :/ I like Mabel Emily, but in general I don't love Emily :/

Eh, Mikes conclusion last night was that he's still only 50/50 on Mabel, so I may end up sticking with Mabel Victoria on my personal list <3
