Hey, We are going to have a baby girl in 3 months and we really like the name Milo. We know that the name is usually a baby boy name but... do you think the name could work for a girl as well? We want a different and edgy name and we think Milo is. Thanks! Eli

I'm sorry but I'm just not a fan of that name, let alone for a girl. Miley?

I like Milo but not sure about it for a girl..what about naming her something like Mila/Myla/Miley/Milly/Emily/Emmylou or Mia Louise and using Milo as a nn.

I'm sorry, but there is nothing remotely feminine about this name. Save up your daughter ages of confusion. It also has a very trendy / unsophisticated feel to it, I can't see it aging well. Can you imagine 'Grandma Milo'?

As KatieB suggestions, if you really like it I suggest using it as a nickname for something more substantial. Maia Louise 'Milo' was my first tought. Also:
Mila
Maile (Hawaiian name; pronounced [mye-leh])
Milena
Millicent
Amalia

Similar sounding names:
Lilac
Clio

Io [eye-o]
Hero (beautiful Ancient Greek name, there's a great legend behind it)
Juno
Dido
Aiko ([eye-ko] means 'loved child' in Japanese)
Echo
Idilko

Hope I helped!

I think that is awesome
I have a daughter who is four whose name is Milo. We couldn't pick out any names and when we said Milo she let out a yell.

We usually call her Mo. We got a bit of slack but the name just suits her.
