I first met Andrew who would later become my husband when we were just three years old, we both lived in the same sleep town, and our parents were good friends. They met at church, and so they organized play dates and apparently we got on really well. We went to kindergarten together, and then elementary and middle school and we still remained the closest friends. In sophomore year of high school he asked my dad if he could court me and I was thrilled. Both our parents and respective siblings approved and were very happy for us. Both our families were strict Catholics, I had twelve siblings and he had nine so we were both used to very large families, and as I was the second youngest, my siblings were all married or getting married and had kids. We courted for two years and got married when we were seventeen. It was a lavish ceremony and it was lots of fun and I was really happy. We settled down as a married couple, we bought a small house, I worked as a receptionist and he worked with trains.

We waited two years to have a child, we needed some time to grow up and get settled. We didn't use any protection, if it happened then we'd be happy. After we stopped the rhythm method, I fell pregnant almost immediately. Everyone was very happy for us, and I was really looking forward to being a mom. It was at an early scan when they realized it was twins. Twins ran in my family, and his so we weren't that surprised. A few months later our beautiful twins arrived, a boy and a girl. We were over the moon, and so excited. We decided to name them Claire Madeline and Chandler Kaleb. It was hard raising two babies when we were so young, and they were quite demanding. But we got used to it.

When the twins were eighteen months old, we decided we were ready to have more. I had stopped working, so I could raise the babies. It was harder under one income but we made it work. We let nature do it's course and a few weeks later we found out we were expecting again. I was excited when we found out it was just one girl, I was glad there was only one. Adeline Georgia arrived on time, and healthy. She was such an easy baby, especially when i had two two year olds running around. She was a little darling, and so happy with our small family.

When Adeline was six months old I found out I was pregnant again. We were excited but nervous because they were so close. Sadly I miscarried at seven weeks, we were devastated and beside ourselves. We realized how precious children were, and that we wanted as many as God saw fit and we wanted to try and live as good life as possible. After the miscarriage it took a while to conceive but when Ady was nearly two we got the good new that a baby was on the way. To our astonishment, we found out there were triplets. It was a gigantic surprise and it took a while to get used to. W found out there were three boys, two were identical. They were born at thirty-seven weeks, healthy and a good size. We name them Isaac Jasper, Micah Emmett, and Phineas Oliver and they were our little miracle boys.

When the boys were six months old, I found out I was pregnant again with our seventh child, all were under five. I was very busy, and life was a whirlwind but we made it work. Andrew was a very supportive husband and father, and his new business was booming so we had more money. I was slightly nervous about coping with one year old triplets and they were very energetic boys and a newborn. But I knew God would only give me what I could cope with so I thanked him everyday for my amazing and loving family. Henry Joesph was born eight months later, weighing around 8 pounds. He was a pretty chilled baby, but more clingy than Adeline when she was at that age. It was different carrying for one newborn than two or three and I definitely got more sleep. We decided our small house was too small, so with a lot of hard work and effort some friends of ours and helped build a much larger house. Thankfully it was completed before our next child was born.

When Henry was twenty months old, I got pregnant again. It was nice having a breather before more kids arrived and it gave my body a chance to recover which was a good thing as I found out it was my second set of triplets which was unheard of. We were both pretty shocked, my only wish was that I got at least a girl. And I did, two boys and a precious girl. They were born five weeks early and had to stay in hospital for a few days but everything was good and Jacob Lyle, Joshua Dale, Amelia Rose could all come home. It was quite challenging when they came home, but thankfully my mum came over and helped out a lot. Claire and Chandler were only seven years old, so they couldn't do a lot of stuff. It got steadily easier, and soon I was looking forward to another baby.

When Jake, Josh and Mia where two years old I got pregnant again, we were overjoyed to be expecting our 11th child. This time it was a single child, I seemed to have a pattern going, triplets then a single, triplets and then a single. It was another boy, at least my husband was happy. Leo Charles arrived on his due date and was as fit as a fiddle that I got to go home the next day. Leo was a happy-go-lucky baby and spent a lot of his day in his sling while I looked after the older kids and homeschooled all of them. We had decided not to put them into public school but teach them at home and it worked very well for my family as I got to spend a lot of time with all my children, together and alone.

Our pattern was made even more uncanny when I found out I was pregnant again and at an early scan triplets were confirmed. The doctors said to take it really easy as I had had so many children and multiples but I had faith in God, and we continued our daily lives as best we could. The all girl triples arrived at thirty-six weeks, and we named them Juliet Delilah, Beatrice Ruby and Sophia Dominique. They were the cutest things imaginable, and I loved having three little girls to dress and play with. They were little princesses, and settled right into the hectic family.

Of course, I extremely excited when I found out I was expecting again. Juliet, Beatrice and Sophia were only three months old when I found out. They would be so close together, I was sure they would be best friends. This was made even real when I found out it was another girl. We called her Kristin Alyssa, after my dear godmother Kristin who died of cancer just before she was born. Kristin was an adorable baby, who helped heal a difficult time. I had been very close to her, and she had been like a second mother to me. We had to add an extension onto our new house as it was feeling a bit cramped.

The extension was a really good thing because I found out I was pregnant again. Kristin was twenty-two months by then and I felt ready for another precious child. I was very curious to find out if the pattern would continue and that we'd have triplets, but I was a bit relieved when I was told it was twins. By then Claire and Chandler were fourteen and far more independent but they still helped out quite a bit. We found out it was another set of boy/girl twins and were extremely excited. They were born healthy and screaming, and we named them Liliana Emery and Nathan Alexander. They were little bundles of joy and slept a lot, while I taught the other kids.

I had another miscarriage when Lily and Nathan were only eight months old, and it was pretty devastating. It made us aware of how precious are children were. When they were nearly two, I got pregnant again. I knew something was up almost as soon as I found out, it didn't feel like a single or twin or even a triplet pregnancy at all. We soon found out why, I was pregnant with quintuplets. It took a long time to get used to the idea, and everyone was worried for me and for the babies. The doctors suggested selective reduction but it was against my religion and moral values so I decided to keep all five, at grave risk to all of us. I had complete faith in God, that everything was happening for a reason and it would all be ok. I was monitored very closely, and thankfully everything seemed to go well. However I went into labor at thirty weeks, and they couldn't stop it so I was wheeled in for a c-section. It was only my second one, I had managed to deliver a set of triplets naturally against all odds. They were born tiny and it need of a little help but they were alive, we called them Benjamin Maxwell, Rhianna Grace, Elliot Joel, Mariah Emily, James Scott. They spent several weeks in hospital, getting stronger and heavier. Finally we were allowed to take them home, and for the first two months it was complete chaos but we eventually got used to it.

To our surprise, I found out I was pregnant again, on the quints second birthday. It had been an exhausting two years, and very hard work but also rewarding. I had a few months to get used to the idea of another baby, till it started to show. To my astonishment, we found out it was our third set of twins, and it was also boy/girl twins again. We were excited and nervous as usual, Lucas Devon and Gabrielle India were born at thirty-eight weeks and went home in four days. When we finally Again the house was pretty crazy, but my parents moved into the small cottage next door and were over a lot to help us.

When the twins were just three months, I began to feel the usual pregnancy symptoms and I realised I was pregnant again. I was shocked, but had complete faith in God that I could handle more children. That faith kept me strong when we were told it was twins again. This time it was two girls, and we were both pretty excited. I unexpectedly went into labour at twenty-nine weeks, though doctors thought I had had pre-eclamsia. The girls were born tiny, and very fragile, they barely weighed three pounds, it was a very worrying time. We named them Phoebe May and Hope Darcy, Hope was the sickest so that's why was named her Hope. They were sicker than the quints even though there were less of them. To our amusement and worry, there were only ten months apart in age, I really did have Irish Quads. they eventually came home and gained weight like they should.

I'm only 39, so I think there are a few more child rearing days ahead so who knows if I'll have more children. It's up to God, I thank him everyday for my family. My husband and I love our family to bits and wouldn't have it any other way.
