Genevieve and Evelyn both have a full, French feel that is absolutely gorgeous! <3 and they are as tied as can be in my head!
Help! Which one should remain in my list?

When naming my first daughter I wanted to incorporate her name, but wasn't sure if naming her Evelyn was the way to go. My Great Grandfather called my Grandmother Eve for short.
I came across the name Nevaeh and loved the sound, but not the spelling so much. I came across the same name spelled Neveah - Slavic for Morning Star. The spelling worked in my favor and it mocked how my Grandfather spelled Eve (EV). My daughters nn is Evey
* Ultimately I love Evelyn!!

Though I do like a lot of older names, Evelyn is still kind of a grandma name to me.
I like Genevieve, it has spunk .

Genevieve is one of my FAVORITES. I ADORE this name. If there was such a thing as super caps, I would use it. I live the subset Genevieve and Felicity... It has the same frilly girly song and dance with a whole lot of WOW.
I can't explain it

Genevieve seems to have more spunk, and younger at the moment! And maybe uncommon... but I still like Evelyn <3
Haha, I just worry that Genevieve might want to called Gen

You could just tell her that you love the name Gen, but not Evie!
