I like Sequoia better than Seven. A number doesn't seem to be a fitting name for a living being who will continue to age, year after year. You might be able to get away with something like Septimus/Settimo which mean 7th. Or September (although it's not currently the 7th month).
If it's the sound you like, try Evan or Sven.

I just can't take it seriously. I know a couple of people have used it but I'd rather see you find a name that has a meaning like the number seven. But I also know it's a legitimate name in other places than the US. Here it's just a number to me, but if you don't live in the US and it's a legitimate name that people recognize, that would be fine to use it.
What about Evan? Evan Sequoia would be handsome.
Belvin Sequoia
Cavan Sequoia
Reeves Sequoia
Vance Sequoia
Harvey Sequoia
Javan Sequoia
Sullivan Sequoia
Evander Sequoia
Tavin Sequoia
Zevan Sequoia

I like Seven. While I agree with the comment or above that most numbers are not suitable as names (I would never name a child one, two, three, etc.) I make an exception for Seven because it actually sounds like a name. In fact, I know someone with the name and they receive lots of compliments.

Use a name. Think of your child. A number is a number not a name.
Use Kevin or Keevan, or Devin

Definitely not a number with a middle name that is a noun. If you're going with a tree, I don't think you can do the number. It sounds like it should be the name of an area of Yosemite.

Wasn't the "dream" child on Married With Children named Seven? I didn't like it then and I don't like it now.

It doesn't bother me that it's a number . I like uncommon names myself. The ridiculous thing is that you want a middle name starting with the same letter. It really sounds repetitive.
