Elizabeth vs. Bethany

Really need opinions on which name is more common with the nn Beth? We know Elizabeth is a long name that usually most people with it shorten, and Liz and Beth are usually the most common. Bethany on the other hand, many assume can be nicknamed Beth with no problem. However, I've seen multiple Bethany's express they don't like Beth. Greatly appreciated!

Elizabeth is more common in general. So Beth probably is used as a nickname partly for that reason. I know way more Elizabeths than I do Bethanys. I think Beth works for either name. Hopefully a Bethany or two will weigh in here on that.

I think it definitely works for both. Some Bethanys may not like Beth, but some Elizabeths may not like Beth either. I prefer Bethany because it is a little more unique.

Bethany seems the most intuitive for Beth, I mean it's really the only nickname. Elizabeth has so many nicknames already. I think just Beth works
