Darragh (middle name) vs. Darragh (middle name)

Hi everyone! My husband and I are expecting our first son and we’d like to name him after his grandfather Darragh (prn DARR-ah). Yes, we realize it looks "strange", but that’s the original spelling of the name. We’re still looking for a more "American" middle name that still has some Irish roots. Thanks!~Kay

I like Darragh, though I did initially think it was a girl (sorry); the girl’s name Bronagh is one of my faves. Would you be open to Darragh as a middle name? I think that would be a great way to honor grandfather, but avoid the confusion about pronunciation, spelling, and gender.
