Madeleine is so gorgeous! Best way to spell it.
I’m confused by the "Mah-uh-lehn" pronunciation...I know French speakers say it "mahd-LENN" and most English speakers say it "MAD-el-inn" or (incorrectly) "mad-uh-LYNE"

Good for you, spelling this name this way! I also am thankful for your pronunciation. Mahd-uh-len is so much better than that butchered "line" or "lyn" ending.

I want to use Madeline (Mad-uh-line) as our fist name but need a middle name that is a variation of "carol". (We are naming the baby after both grandmothers) Suggestions?

My name is Madeline and I go by Maddie for most people. I think the names pretty unique because when I ask someone in my school what they use Maddie(Maddy) for they say Madison or they pronounce it Mad-E-Lyn, I pronounce my name as Mad-Eh-Line and none of them say that way.

My daughter’s name is Madeleine Marie. Your names should try to flow with your last name as well. But I love the name Madeleine
