YES! I love the name Bellamy because it's so dynamic. It's both soft and feminine sounding (even though it's traditionally male) AND very edgy/rockstar. The NN "Belle" is a cute idea too!

I don't mind it for a girl. It's a surname, so those typically sound masculine to me. I can certainly see it for a boy for that reason. But the meaning "beautiful friend" lends itself to a girl, too, I think.

It reminds me of Bill Bellamy but I like it, it's cool and fun, has a good nick name or really 3 good nick names.

Belle, Bella, and Amy

I think u will turn a few heads with the name Bellamy but most people will like it, similar to a lot of other popular names so not too out there. I personally would use it for a dog but I treat my dogs like people. =)
