Veronica Mars

My (step-)grandmother comes to mind. I'm biased of course but she was an amazing person. She went by Vera as a nickname but Veronica still brings her to mind for me.

Also, Elvis Costello has a very beautiful song called Veronica. It's about his grandmother too, coincidentally. The video to it is worth watching.

My cousin was named Veronica, but goes by Rona / Rhona (both "ROE-nuh"). Rhona is a Gaelic name meaning rough isle, so she's cheating a bit. But I think it still works. Also, I had a babysitter growing up who went by the nn Rocky.

It's a little clunky, but there's nothing wrong with that! Vera could be a good nickname.

I agree that it is clunky and outdated. Isadora or Adrianna are a similar style, but a little more fresh and light!

I like it a lot. It always reminds me of the Archie comics when I was growing up which I loved. Veronica was the dark haired, rich, vain, mean girl. That wouldn't put me off using it, it's a great name. Her nick name was Ronnie which I like too.

My name is Veronica and my nn is Vero. Its not so common, usually other latinas have this name. I say use it :)

I think about the Archie comics, Elvis Costello's song "Veronica," and the girl from MTV's Road Rules & The Challenge. But I just don't care for the name in general & think it's outdated. GL!
