Frieda Hope vs. Stephanie Hope

I want to give a name to my daughter that reflects the beauty and hope of reason and atheism. I've picked two of my role models, Friedrich Nietzsche and Stephen Hawkin for inspiration. Which do you like better? I'd also like any suggestions you can think of too. Thank you!

Frieda Hope gmv. Love it.

OK. I'm seriously biased. My cat (Frederica, nn Freda) is named after my great aunt (my name is Ann). Growing up I loved her name because it reminded me of freedom. My aunt is named after her too and she was a 60s wild child so it all made sense to my little brain.

Freda is the English spelling -- my family at the time was in England / Ireland. But Frieda makes most sense here since it's Mr. Nietsche you want to honor. By the way Germans also use Frida, and with that spelling you get a shout out to Ms Kahlo as well.

Stephanie will be more familiar and probably get more votes. And it's a lovely name. But I have my fingers crossed for Frieda. Great name. Good luck! :0)

Persephone Hope nn Percy? Percy Bysshe Shelley was an atheist and Persephone has the sounds of Percy (PERSephonE) and Stephen (perSEPHONe). I know, I know, Persephone is from Greek mythology, but it's still a gorgeous name so I thought I'd mention it.

Or Victoria Hope for Victor Hugo?

Or Arista Hope for Aristotle and for the star Arista in the constellation Virgo?

Robin Hope for Robert Burns?

Georgia Hope for George Carlin?

There are others who were seen as non-religious or agnostic, but not definitively atheist so I left them off...from the names you already like, I'd go with Frieda mostly just because I dislike the name Stephanie, not because of anything against Stephen Hawking!
