I LOVE Beatrix Viola and Odette Viola! I also like Beatrice Viola and Violet, but I don't like any of the middle names with Violet.

Not a fan of Cecily or Cecilia. They sound bland to me.

Thanks everyone. We've found it difficult to match a middle name with Violet. Felicity is a name we love but can't use as a first name so it was a natural choice as a middle name. I personally prefer Felicity to Cecilia for the middle name to Violet. I think we're leaning towards Beatrix than Beatrice too.

I would eliminate Beatrice or Beatrix, or move them to the middle name spot. Aurora and Viola would be my first choice. Is Grandmother Violet still living? If so, then I would probably choose Violet over Viola. I think using Viola as a first name is fine because you could argue that you want her to have her own name. As a middle name I would use Violet. Some people have their feelings hurt when a variant is used instead of their actual name. Cecily Violet would be my second choice. Violet Felicity sounds beautiful too. Family names are so special! Your daughter will appreciate the connection.

Odette Viola

Unfortunately not, Spreadkindness. I agree about having the balance of using family names while still having their own identity. Its's the reason why we settled on Lillian for Aurora's middle name. Gran was always called Vi so if we went with Violet we'd probably shorten her name to something different. I much prefer Violet to Viola in terms of a first name option but it would be exactly what we're looking for, I agree. I want to like it more for that reason if I'm honest lol. Odette was our front runner for a while hence why Viola is a middle name option. I think it just flows better with some of our first name options to Violet plus it still has the meaning of Violet.

All your names are beautiful. And while I posted that Cecily Violet is my favorite, Odette Viola is a close second. Also, have you considered Violette (VYAW-LEHT) or Violet(t)a (vyo-LEHT-uh)? Best of luck to you. :-)

Odette Viola is stunning! There are a few others I like too, but I'd stick with that one. It really stands out!
