I don't care for it because Catalina is my favourite kind of salad dressing, so it is all I think of when I hear it. Do you like the similar Katerina? Katerina Rose would be beautiful

It's very striking! I don't know why, but I dislike Katarina and really like Catalina....maybe the -lina part makes it softer? I disagree with Lana (no offense meant!) because Catherine and Caitlin are so common that they've become rather bland/stale and I say that as a Katherine myself. Catalina just has more "oomph!"

I can only think of the salad dressing as well... Seems like a foody name to me. Personally couldnt imagine it on somebody since we always use the dressing. Just like how I couldnt imagine naming someone Cesar as well... All seem like salad/salad dressing food names.

It's very pretty. I grew up in southern California, so I do think of Santa Catalina island, but that's a nice association. Catalina Rose sounds very pretty.
