If you don't mind me asking, have you considered Mika? Makes it a little more feminine, while still honoring your friend. Your daughter might appreciate her own name and not feel like she has to live up to there person she shares a name with.

I have considered those but decided her full name will be just Mike.

So far I like Mike Penelope & Mike Haley.

Like Dr Mike on TV show Dr Quinn Medicine woman
Her name was Michaela Quinn but she was always called Dr.Mike
