Eliana for a vs. White Baby?

Not trying to offended anyone, just need honest feedback. I have a very blended family (mix of Puerto Rican, Greek, Brazilian, European). DH is straight European/Caucasian. So basically this is about to be a white baby once my latin roots have been diluted with his LOL. I love the name Eliana but I'm afraid it may come off as "too Latin" for a white child? I'm worried what people's impressions may be/don't want anyone to be offended or thinking we're appropriating. What do you think of when you hear the name Eliana? Could you see it on a white female or no?

(An example of what I'm trying to avoid, if anyone needs clarification, is like you seeing a white kid named Carlos or Esteban. That's strange. I don't wanna be the person that does that lol).

I'm white and I get exactly what you mean. I think Eliana is pretty and subtle enough to be fine. I don't think it seems too into one culture like your example of Carlos. Even though I went to high school with a 100% white Carlos. Lol

I know a pale redhead named Eliana, didn't think anything of it.

I wouldn't worry too much. I like it. I do love Elliana.

The Elianas that I know are white and Jewish. It's a common Hebrew name. I think it works on a child of any race.

The baby has Latin roots, your not appropriating your own culture. I wouldn't worry of it seems that way to other people. I kind of think it's weird your worried that others will be offended you're giving your child a name from your culture, and I actually think it would be nice to have a name that would connect her to her heritage even if she looks white which plenty of Latinx people do.

Not to be that person but you can be white and be latino, JoAnna Garcia, Sofia Vergara. People of the Mediterranean, Greek, Italians, Spanish, are classified as Caucasian. With that being said I understand that their coloring is different that Northern Europeans and that many Latinos are multiracial as honestly almost everyone that lives in North or South America probably has ancestors from all over the world. Basically I think you are putting too much thought into it and I think that most people should know it would be ignorant to decide a child's name didn't fit because of their complexion.

Eliana is a Jewish name--and I've only ever known Jewish girls named Eliana--so I genuinely do not think anyone will question it. Most people don't question others' names anyway? Is that a problem many people encounter? Not all cultural ties are distinguishable to the eye/visible at all?
