I was looking up the meaning of my son's name and after 15 minutes of searching, I found out his name doesn't mean what I thought it did

Aasin actually means "on seat". The name I saw in the baby book was Aasim which means "protector" so I got a little dyslexic with the last letters :)
Giovanni means "God is gracious"
I wish I had paid more attention to name meanings back then :)

And I also found out today that my husband doesn't like one of my favorite Italian boy names either :) Matteo doesnt make the list. I'm one sad panda.

"on seat" is an interesting meaning, not like bad, but interesting :) And "god is gracious" is nice. Hehe, so close but not quite! Aasim is interesting, but I think I like Aasin/Aasyn better hehe!

And aww, oh well! Matteo is handsome... though I've always loved Matthias or plane Matthew :) I think I should look up some Italian names, seeing as I am Italian and all lol.. hmm!

I've always loved Matteo, but hubby crushed that dream tonight :) I'm on the hunt for some more Italian names. I had considered (if we had another baby) trying to have an Italian name in the next baby's name (if it were a boy). Kind of keep a pattern or something.

My husband is just TOO picky. :) what a big fat meanie.

Aww, haha! Funny thing is, I always loved the name Matt. Since I was really little lol, so handsome :) Let me know if you find any great Italian names I should consider! :) I'd love to add some to my list, tbh! That'd be a cute pattern, Italian names on boys! But aww, he is a meanie face!! I hope when you are expecting a boy he can realize what handsome names you have chosen out that he totally feels how wonderful they are! :)

My cousins have some interesting names. There's Pierce Pierre (his last name is hyphenated with two Z names) & both fn and mn are variants of Peter. His siblings Rowena (g) & Arden (:).
There's triplets who share a name (Chase Alexander) & their two sisters who are both Brittanys.
I think that's it. Although how some of my family members got their name are entertaining.

Pierce Pierre is a mouthful!

I never paid much attention to name meanings until we had picked out Alyssa Ryan as a candidate for Hayleigh.
Ryan means "little King"
I didnt want my daughter to be a little King :)

Good point. I try to avoid boy names for girls or even -son or mc- names. My cousin's mn is Mackenzie & another's is Addison. They're both good names I just dislike them on girls.
Pierce definitely has the worst name unless you wanna count my cousin Skeeter (no lie, his name's Skeeter James ln).
