It’s okay vs. It doesn’t sound good, but you can use it vs. NO!

Okay guys, here’s the deal. We’re having a baby girl pretty soon and we LOVE the name Paisley. The only problem is our last name starts with an L and ends in LY (like LEE) so... for example Paisley Laughly. it doesn’t sound the best. but we REALLY love Paisley! So what do you think?? Can we do it or is it too horrible sounding? Thanks!! Paula, Peter, Parker Grace, Preston Michael and Peyton Olivia

I forgot to mention that we would call her "Pace" about 60-70% of the time since our other girls have nick names (Parks and PJ) THANKS! Paula

Eh, I’m not a fan of the sing-songy baby names, sorry. How about:


Piper
Paige
Prudence "Pru"

To me, Paisley sounds very childish. More like something you’d name a cat rather than a child.

As long as the fn does not actually rhyme with the ln, I think it would be fine.

i think it should be used as a middle name since the problem does exist with the last name imo. but i agree that if you have your mind made up about it, then why would you even ask for other opinions, just go for it!

Say the name out loud and you will know if it sounds good or not. If you like it, then use it.

I think Paisley is a pretty name. If you like the way it sounds, use it.
