Tatum Marie vs. Taidyn Marie

I’ve liked Tatum for sometime now, (hubby hates it!). I wanted to name our daughter Tatum Marie, but he can’t stand it. He likes Taidyn. Which do you like? Thanks, Sophia Daniels

Please do not name her Tatum! Save it for your (potential) future son! Taidyn is ok, amazing in comparison to Tatum.

I agree with your husband. Can’t stand Tatum on a girl and don’t like it on a boy either. Taidyn is ok, its at least sort of cute.

I personally have only known girls named Tatum, but don’t particularly care for the name. I also don’t care for Taidyn, either. It sounds like another mixed up version of Aiden. Sorry. I like the suggestion of Taryn--it sort of mixes both of you and your husband’s tastes.

I like both. I think boyish names on girls is cool. All that matters is if you like it. The kid will make the name. I don’t like Taryn. It’s ok to be different.

I think it’s a girls’ name, but if your dh hates it, then it’s back to the drawing board.

Taidyn, however, is pretty awful.

It sounds totally made up. Plus, it’s way too close to all those over-used aidan names.

Keep looking till you find some you both like. If either of you HATES a name, it should get crossed off your list.

My sister wanted to name my last neice, Tatum Alexis. I think Tatum is a beautiful name, but if your husband doesn’t like it, it’s going to be pretty hard to name her that. What about Taylor? Or Teira (pro. Tee-air-ah)?
