Hello, I’m planning on honoring my late sister Margaret "Slim" by giving my daughter a name that either has the nicname Slim or has "Slim" in it (Margaret is out of question, because my husband’s niece is called Margie).Ideas?Thank you

Silma is really the only one I can think of and it’s already been suggested. Although that’s not really a cute name for a little girl. Couldn’t you just name her Margaret and call her Greta? Or Maggie? It doesn’t have to be difficult for cousins to have the same name. My cousin and I have the same name: Vanessa. We call her Vanessa and I’m Nessi. I mean, your niece could be Margie and your daughter could be Greta.

Lauren Bacall was called "Slim" in her first movie. Lauren is a nice name.

what was her middle name?
maybe try that.

I live the suggestions of Greta, Isla, Lauren and Sinead. Interesting fact, my sister was nicknamed Slim because she looked a lot like Slim Keith (the inspiration behind Lauren Bacall’s character in "To Have and Have Not")
I deinitely don’t want my girl to have the same name as her cousin, though.

Out of the suggestions you like, I love Lauren & Isla. Isla’s more unique though. I’ve never even heard of an Isla.
