Rachel vs. yes vs. no

PLEASE HELP US :) My dh and i are due with a little girl in a few weeks, 3 to be exact, we cant seem to agree on a girls name so im trying to compromise with him. He really likes the name Rachel, i dont mind it but i feel its rather "old fashion", so i would really appreciate your help in helping me find a cute middle name to go with it. Im also wondering if there are other ways to spell it?? and do YOU think its old fashioned? all advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a ton :)

I love the name Rachel. I don’t think it’s old fashioned at all. It’s still being used a lot nowadays. The only other way I know of spelling it is Rachael.

i like the sound of the name, but i don’t really like the meaning, i don’t think it’s old fashioned, but i wouldn’t say it’s in common use anymore, not that that’s a bad thing, a few years ago she’d be in a class with 2 or 3 other Rachel/Rachael’s whereas now i don’t think she would, i only know people over the age of 16 with this name, i like this spelling best it’s the simplest, but you could do Raquel (ra-kel) if you wanted it to be more exotic and unique, middle names could be

Rachel Sabrina
Rachel Samantha
Rachel Grace
Rachel Jane

wdyt? like any? Rachelle or Rochelle is also another nice alternative, i think Rachel Nicole sounds nice
