Will vs. Billy vs. Willie

I love the names Willie and Billy. The problem is that they’re both nicknames for William! So I guess my first question is would it be weird to name your kids Billy and William or William and Willie?

If you are talking about naming two different kids those names then yes it’s weird. You would be bascially be naming your kids the same thing. If I read it wrong, sorry. I like Willie it’s cute.

What if their names were Billy and William? Would that be too weird as well? (yes your right for 2 kids)

I wouldn’t say it was weird just not something I would do. The problem you might face is if William decided he wanted to use a nn when he got older. They are both great names.

I don’t think so.

You wouldn’t name your child Jimmy and James or Harry and Henry.

Plus, Billy is nothing more than a nickname.
Pick the nickname for William you like most (go with Billy...Willie is a cause for teasing) and stick with it. Personally, the only nickname I like for William is Liam.

IMO that would be very strange. I agree with pp also that the only nn I like from William is Liam. The other ones seem too trashy to me. Sorry didnt mean to be rude. GL
