Smyth vs. Smith

Hey, one of my best friends, Amy is having a baby(she doesn’t know the sex yet) and she likes Smyth/Smith for a first name. Wdyt of it? Middle name ideas? Which looks like for a boy and which for a girl? Thank you, Addison (and Amy)

It doesn’t fit a girl no matter how its spelt, but Smith on a boy is ok. Smyth would be ’smye-th’ not ’smih-th’

They both look boy to me. I like Smith best though. Smyth doesnt look like its pronounced Smith.

Amy wants to use Smith in the baby’s name some way or another...so do you have any boy names with Smith and girl names with Smith?

She sort of likes Karleigh (like Karly/Carly/Carleigh) Smith for a girl...wdyt? Any boy ideas or other girl ideas?

Karleigh is a nice fn. Karleigh Smith sounds nice, I guess, but then it sounds like her first and last name, not fn and mn. Nathan Smith would be my choice for a boy.
