I think it is ok, I wouldn’t choose it and I wouldn’t want that name. I have heard way worse.

I think it’s pretty. Based on English pronunciations, I would say:

a (as in made) - vel - ine (as in wine)

-een makes no sense because -ine does not spell that. Saying the a like the sound in apple also doesn’t make sense because the e changes the sound to an a like in made.

Therefore, with proper pronunciation, it sounds nothing like javelina, Spanish has different pronunciations than English.

sorry PP’s you think a bully in 6th grade will care? He will see Javelina and call her that. Aveline= Javelina. Too close. Have you seen a Javelina? If you live in the southwest don’t do it esp., since we have them in the desert.
