Elizabeth Madden vs. Elizabeth Maddyn vs. Elizabeth Maddin

Recently, we lost two close family friends in an automobile accident. We’d like to honor them by giving our daughter a combonation of their names; Maddy and Kevin. (Because Madden is real name, versus Kaddy, which sounded off...) But how should we spell it? We’re worried the the -yn ending makes it seem too trendy, but I don’t know. Elizabeth stays for sure as her first name, and older sister is Jane Tiffany. Thanks, Gretchen and Jonathan St. Clair

I agree with pp, Madden looks the best to me. Im very sorry to hear about your family friends that is absolutely awful. GL and congrats with the new baby Elizabeth is a wonderful name

I would go with Maddin because it is a combination of the Madd- in Maddy and the -in in Kevin.

I like Maddin the best for your sitiation..its MAD for Maddy and IN for the end of Kevin..She would have a heartfelt story to go with her name and it would be in perfect unison to the way you spelt it!...

Madden.

Maddin/Maddyn don’t look to great. You don’t need to alter the spelling of the name to honor your friends. It is very touching and sweet.

Madden is the best tribute to your friends.

I wouldn’t care for it normally, but it’s a lovely gesture, and it’s always nice for a name to have a "story."
