Your right sons get named after their fathers all the time I dont think theres anything wrong with naming your daughter after you. I went to school with a girl who had the same first name as her mother

Sure I hear of it all the time. I mean don’t name her like a Jr. cause it just wouldn’t sound right on a girl, but giving her your name, and your name as her middle name is perfectly fine

I am not giving my real name on here, but say my name was Bethany Kara, would Kara Bethany be fine. Or happen if my name was Lucy Margaret could i do Lucy Margaret Kate.

Of course! Both of those would be great. Switching the first and middle names and adding a middle name are both fine IMO. GL!

Years ago it was common for the first daughter to be named after the mom AND the first son to be named after the father.

My daughter is named after me. My name is Kathleen and I named my daughter Katherine. My girlfriend gave her daughter her mn. My SL gave her daughter her name but she goes by a different nn.

you can, personally i think it’s quite odd, i can’t imagine calling anyone else by my name, but if that’s what you want to do then go ahead!

I think it’s a great idea. It would be nice if more daughters were named after their moms, the way sons have been named after their fathers for years.
